I'm honored to share when you purchase a copy of my book "A Golden Adventure - The Hunt for the Missing Rainbow," I will donate a portion of the proceeds to W.A.G.S. 4 Kids.
What is W.A.G.S. 4 Kids?
W.orking A.nimals G.iving S.ervice 4 Kids is a nonprofit organization that empowers local children with disabilities by providing mobility service and autism service dogs to meet the specific needs of children with disabilities in Northeast & Central Ohio, utilizing their Award-Winning ODRC Accredited Cell Dog Training Program. Service dogs are custom task-trained to provide therapeutic, emotional and physical support for children with disabilities and their families. W.A.G.S. 4 Kids is focused on spotlighting the abilities of children with disabilities and works year-round to provide "typical" kids the opportunity to do whatever they love toward the betterment of a classmate facing everyday challenges through their Kids Who Can! Youth Empowerment program.
I was introduced to W.A.G.S. 4 Kids through a wonderful local family whose son has a W.A.G.S. dog. After hearing their story and talking with Wendy and Sera at W.A.G.S. 4 Kids to learn more about their mission empowering children, it was an easy decision to help! As a reading specialist who works with children with autism and/or other learning disabilities, this organization is near and dear to my heart. By providing children with a disability, a W.A.G.S. dog, we provide them with more opportunities whether it's therapeutic, emotional or physical support.
